October 1, 2020 – Delta Zeta sent out an announcement to their 20,000+ sisters nationwide to announce a surprise. They have chosen to expand their partnership in philanthropy by adding a new organization to their list of organizations that their sisters fundraise for. American Society for Deaf Children (ASDC)
“Delta Zeta has been intentional in our efforts to impact the world through Hearing and Speech since it officially became our national philanthropy in 1954. We continue to learn about opportunities to be of service and so, the work goes on!
That includes learning more about the Deaf community and culture so that our members become allies, advocates and spread awareness about the Deaf and hard of hearing community.
It’s with that in mind that Delta Zeta is announcing a partnership with the American Society for Deaf Children, an organization created by parents, for parents of Deaf Children.” (National Council – Delta Zeta)
On October 8, 2020; ASDC announced its latest philanthropic partner, Delta Zeta to members. The information is also available on their website.
Rachel Coleman, the Executive Director of ASDC spoke with Deaf Vee Journal and shared her thoughts on the new partnership:
The American Society for Deaf Children (ASDC) is honored to have been selected by Delta Zeta as their national partner. Our future is bright and I am confident this exciting development will allow ASDC to significantly expand the reach of our programs. Together, our combined resources will allow ASDC to continue in its vital role as the nation’s premiere organization serving deaf children and their families.
