There is a new petition on MoveOn Petition to push FCC (Federal Communication Commission) in the direction that it should have gone in a long time ago, to make all off shelf videophones including Skype, ooVoo, FaceTime among the others interoperable.
There is an ASL VLOG posted that explains the petition in depth, please view the Vlog at
Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has the power/authority to order interoperability among those products. We need to ASK FCC to do this so our customers can choose a product of their own to work with their peer’s choices of products just like the current Cellular/Land-line phone systems work.
Attention needs to be called to this petition, people need to sign to push for inter-operable Video Phones. This is not an issue among other telephones so why should it be okay for our phones?
Sign the Petition to support the movement and to demand that FCC makes all Videophones Inter-Operable. Have any questions about the petition, the person responsible for this petition is Jon Ziev.
